Lawn Care Treatments, Repairs and Maintenance Services in Stowmarket
Welcome to GreenThumb Stowmarket
Marcus Adie opened the Stowmarket branch of GreenThumb in February 2009 which covers north Suffolk and south Norfolk stretching from Stowmarket up to Diss then onto Long Stratton and Newton Flotman. Other areas we cover also include Bungay, Southwold, Halesworth, Stradbroke, Hoxne, Eye, Debenham, Diss and many more.
For our treatments we use our bespoke professional lawn care products – not available at your local garden centre – and these are applied accurately using professional equipment. We are fortunate to live in one of the driest and warmest areas in the country and soil varies from very heavy, wet Suffolk clay to sandy, acid soil on the coast. This presents its own challenges in keeping your lawn looking fantastic where the simple fact is that grass needs water to thrive.
We treat all sorts and sizes of lawns from smaller ones to large country gardens; they all receive the same dedicated care, all for a cost that is lower than 'doing it yourself'. To make things even easier for you, it is possible to pay for treatments by Direct Debit, allowing you to make some significant savings, spread the cost and include all the treatments your lawn needs with no fuss.
We are proud of the results we achieve and the strong relationships we have with our valued customers so, if you would like help from the professionals, why not give us a call? We will be more than happy to visit and provide a free, no-obligation lawn inspection so that we can recommend the best programme of treatments to get your lawn looking much healthy..
During the growing season – from March to October - each customer receives four pre-arranged lawn treatments from GreenThumb’s experts for less than it would cost to buy the materials at a D.I.Y store and do the job yourself. As well as keeping lawns in tip-top condition, GreenThumb are also experts at tackling problems like moss and infestations like Leatherjackets and red thread.
GreenThumb’s Lawn Operatives will tackle the problem of winter moss with aeration and scarification, which along with regular feed and weed treatments can restore your lawn to pristine condition.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I start using GreenThumb?
You can adopt our services at any time of the year. There is never a ‘bad time’ to start improving your lawn.
Do I have to be at home when you come and treat my lawn?
The majority of our customers are not at home when we call. Since all our vehicles and Lawn Operatives are self-sufficient, we can carry out your treatments as long as we have access to the lawns.
If you would prefer to be in when we are treating your lawn, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
I have children and /or pets. What should I be aware of?
We recommend that you keep off the lawn until any liquid part of the treatment has dried (approx. 2 hours). This stops it being walked off. And this is especially true of our NutraGreen Autumn Long Treatment, we recommend that you keep off the lawn for more than 2 hours then as it could stain a carpet or wooden floor, if it were walked into the home.
Grazing pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs should be kept off the lawn for a minimum of two weeks or three cuts, whichever occurs latest, to avoid ingestion of Ragwort, in particular, which becomes poisonous to them as it dies back.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No, we want our customers to continue with GreenThumb based on our merits in creating a healthier, greener lawn for them - not because they are stuck in a contract. Of course, with our treatment programmes, you will need to sign a Direct Debit Mandate with the relevant T&C's which relate to this payment option.
