A professional and personal service has been the hallmark of the Beverley and East Yorkshire franchise since it was set up some 20 years ago.  During this period, the business has grown annually to become one of the largest and most successful operations of GreenThumb throughout the UK.

Most members of staff in Beverley have been with the company for many years, enabling our tightly knit team to be able to evaluate and treat your lawn from a background of considerable expertise.

Based in Beverley, the business looks after lawns across Beverley and almost all of the East Riding, together with Filey and Hunmanby just across the border into North Yorkshire.

The team have spent all or most of their lives in the area and know the local conditions well.  Heavy soil and poor drainage are experienced throughout the region, except for parts of Elloughton, Brough and The Caves, where the soil is much lighter.  With milder and wetter conditions in our cooler seasons, moss is a major challenge, and the programme is designed to ensure it remains under control.

The face to face introduction to GreenThumb will be with one of our experienced surveyors who will assess your lawn and recommend treatments based on the core programmes, and ensure that any access restrictions you have are built into our treatment plan.  We also encourage customers to contact us with a request for information, discuss treatments, or the odd concern, and for that we have an experienced staff in the office ready to respond to your request.  We do have a number of fast and efficient payment options.  Answerphones are only used out of hours, or as a last resort if all staff are already taking calls,  in which case your call will be returned as soon as possible that same day.

Customer care is at the centre of our ethos and many of our customers have been with us for a long time, whether they have remained in the same house or they have moved within the region.  Our continued success relies on our customer care programme delivered by our friendly and qualified team.

What to expect next?

How long should I wait?

We aim to contact you back within 24 hours, however messages sent on bank holidays and weekends may take longer to respond to.

When can I start using GreenThumb?

You can adopt our services at any time of the year. There is never a ‘bad time’ to start improving your lawn.

Do I have to be at home when you come and treat my lawn?

The majority of our customers are not at home when we call. Since all our vehicles and Lawn Operatives are self-sufficient, we can carry out your treatments as long as we have access to the lawns.

If you would prefer to be in when we are treating your lawn, we will do our best to accommodate your request.

I have children and /or pets. What should I be aware of?

We recommend that you keep off the lawn until any liquid part of the treatment has dried (approx. 2 hours). This stops it being walked off. And this is especially true of our NutraGreen Autumn Long Treatment, we recommend that you keep off the lawn for more than 2 hours then as it could stain a carpet or wooden floor, if it were walked into the home.

Grazing pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs should be kept off the lawn for a minimum of two weeks or three cuts, whichever occurs latest, to avoid ingestion of Ragwort, in particular, which becomes poisonous to them as it dies back.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No, we want our customers to continue with GreenThumb based on our merits in creating a healthier, greener lawn for them - not because they are stuck in a contract. Of course, with our treatment programmes, you will need to sign a Direct Debit Mandate with the relevant T&C's which relate to this payment option.
