Welcome to GreenThumb Lewes
We first started with GreenThumb in 2016 and love what we do...helping customers create a beautiful space in which to relax, socialise, and play games with the family – whatever it is you do in your garden, we are passionate about giving you a healthy, lush lawn to do it on!
There are currently four members on the team, all of whom are City & Guilds qualified. Between us, we bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in lawn care and are committed to providing a bespoke, quality service.
We deliver 5 core treatments in a year, to help keep your lawn lush & healthy and the weeds and moss under control. In addition, we offer a range of extra treatments to really enhance your lawn’s appearance, such as aerating, scarifying and specialist treatments for disease and pest control. Even with the best endeavours, your lawn may at times need an injection of new grass. We offer a range of seeding options, from repairing small patches to brand new lawns.
Whilst our customers naturally have access to the best lawn treatment products on the market, they get more than that. As local lawn care specialists, we are always on hand to advise or pop in and see our customer to address any lawn problems or queries they might have,
We hope to make people’s lives easier by offering a simple solution to lawn care, working together in partnership with our customers to create long-lasting, beautiful lawns. Nothing is too big or too small – we provide all our customers with the same level of care and attention.

I have used the service offered by Green Thumb Lewis for a few years and have always found the operatives very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Helen always answers queries promptly and completely. I have already recommended three family members and friends to them and will continue to do so in the future without any reservation

The team from Lewes carry out the various lawn treatments with a great deal of professionalism. They give me plenty of advance notice of when they are going to visit and are always willing to give further advice when asked

I started to use the services of Green Thumb in March 2020 on the standard programme. This worked well, however by March 2021 I upgraded to the ultimate programme because the centre portion of my lawns had become very degraded and damaged because of a large silver birch tree which was taking all the moisture from the ground. I had the tree demolished in March 2021, and by reason of having this centre piece of lawn resown by Green Thumb and upgrading to the ultimate programme the transformation has been remarkable. All three areas of my lawns are now very verdant and looking very good. Green Thumb operatives are always very polite and thorough in the work that they carry out and all treatments have been delivered on time. I am extremely please with the service they have given me over the 22 months of service. I shall continue to use themhe written testimonial here.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I start using GreenThumb?
You can adopt our services at any time of the year. There is never a ‘bad time’ to start improving your lawn.
Do I have to be at home when you come and treat my lawn?
The majority of our customers are not at home when we call. Since all our vehicles and Lawn Operatives are self-sufficient, we can carry out your treatments as long as we have access to the lawns.
If you would prefer to be in when we are treating your lawn, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
I have children and /or pets. What should I be aware of?
We recommend that you keep off the lawn until any liquid part of the treatment has dried (approx. 2 hours). This stops it being walked off. And this is especially true of our NutraGreen Autumn Long Treatment, we recommend that you keep off the lawn for more than 2 hours then as it could stain a carpet or wooden floor, if it were walked into the home.
Grazing pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs should be kept off the lawn for a minimum of two weeks or three cuts, whichever occurs latest, to avoid ingestion of Ragwort, in particular, which becomes poisonous to them as it dies back.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No, we want our customers to continue with GreenThumb based on our merits in creating a healthier, greener lawn for them - not because they are stuck in a contract. Of course, with our treatment programmes, you will need to sign a Direct Debit Mandate with the relevant T&C's which relate to this payment option.
