David Avison founded the Leeds East branch of GreenThumb in February 2009 and already the business looks after hundreds of lawns in an area that is bounded by the M62 and the A64. His area covers the east side of Leeds and takes in Barwick-in-Elmet, Colton, Monk Fryston, Hambleton and Selby.
During the growing season – from March to October - each customer’s lawn receives four pre-arranged treatments from GreenThumb’s experts, for less than it would cost to buy the materials at a D.I.Y store and do the job yourself.
As well as keeping lawns in tip-top condition, GreenThumb are also experts at tackling problems like moss and infestations like Leatherjackets and Red thread. Many lawns in the Leeds East and Selby area suffer from moss as a result of heavy clay soil, heavy rainfall and shade caused by trees and fences. GreenThumb will tackle the problem of moss with hollow-tine aeration and scarification, which will make your lawn better draining and, along with regular feed and weed treatments, can restore your lawn to its pristine condition.
