Husband and wife Hamish and Katherine Mackay and their son Mark decided lawn care would be a good career move - for the whole family and they were not disappointed! For the GreenThumb business the trio launched from scratch in Falkirk back in March 2000 is now a thriving business.
Every year they and their team of 16 staff treat thousands of lawns from Bo’Ness to Linlithgow, Falkirk and Stirling up to Callander. In Fife they cover from Kirkcaldy to Dunfermline over to Kinross. Common problems include Leatherjackets, grubs that eat grass roots leaving ugly bare patches in the lawn and moss, which has always been a big challenge in Scotland. Recently, high humidity in the region has also led to outbreaks of the fungal disease Red thread but the GreenThumb experts are well-equipped to tackle all these conditions and they can keep lawns look lush year round with a programme of four annual treatments.
Above all, the professional service GreenThumb provides costs less than D.I.Y lawn treatments on sale in stores! Hamish says: “Our aim is to provide exceptional customer service and top quality products. We want to keep the business growing at a steady pace." and their customers believe they are succeeding!
Always well admired, thanks to your expertise.
The envy of our street!
