Enhanced Programme

This service incorporates our Basic Programme plus...

Hollow-Tine Aeration
By removing thousands of cores from the lawn, soil compaction is reduced.  Hollow-tine aeration allows the roots to spread and enables them to receive the necessary air, moisture and nutrients.  Aeration is the most effective means of reducing sub-surface thatch and allows the plant to fully benefit from further treatments.

Lawn aeration removes thousands of cores from a lawn
Scarification
Scarification treats the cause, not just the symptoms, of  a moss ridden lawn by removing thatch from the lawn.  Thinning out the surface thatch increases airflow in the sward, improving the grass plant's growing conditions.  This results in healthier grass which is less prone to fungal attack.  This rigorous treatment also allows more moisture to reach the root zone, thereby keeping the grass plant hydrated.

By splitting the stolons and allowing new shoot growth, scarification also creates a thicker, healthier lawn.
Oasis Water Conserver Treatment Programme
In areas affected by low rainfall or significant Dry Patch, your GreenThumb professional might (in any given season) interchange the aeration treatment with our bespoke water conserver which, when applied to your lawn, can reduce the need for irrigation by as much as 80%, keeping your lawn greener for longer during long, dry spring/summer periods.

Post-Scarification Treatment
This treatment provides a valuable micronutrient feed that will help the grass to recover from stress following scarification.  It will also reduce moss spores from re-establishing within the sward.
