We are a family run business and have been delivering lawn treatments to our customers since August 2008. Husband and wife team Bryan and Sally Horsley are supported in their business by their daughter Sophie, who is the office manager and her husband James who looks after operational delivery. “Being a family run business has some real advantages for our customers” Bryan points out. “We are a very close family and this is reflected in the pride and passion that we all have for our business.”
Our objectives are simple; to efficiently deliver beautiful lawns to our customers at a reasonable price. We currently service over 3000 customers, delivering some 18,000 treatments a year.
We pride ourselves on our technical know-how and provide bespoke plans for our customers lawns. Our recent developments in lawn technology has once again, placed us at the forefront of lawn care in the UK. You can be confident that we will utilise the very best treatments and products to give you a lawn to be proud of.
However, this is only part of the story. We know that our customers want a superior service, including great communication, efficient scheduling of treatments and responsive aftercare. Many of our customers have been with us from our launch, a testament to our customer service focus. Our services include our ‘Standard’ and ‘Ultimate’ lawn care packages through to full Lawn ‘Makeovers’ for that perfect Greenthumb Lawn. We deliver all your lawn care needs, including aeration, scarification and treatments to combat lawn diseases and pests. We also offer additional services, including top dressing and over seeding and full ‘Lawn Makeovers’ to bring you that perfect ultimate lawn.
Our operational staff are fully qualified in handling and applying pesticides and have many years of experience, delivering beautiful lawns to our customers. We have the backing of the largest Lawn Treatment company in the UK with over 35 years’ experience. Our office staff are equally experienced providing a quality service, taking the worry out of scheduling in the right treatments at the right time of the season for our many customers.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I start using GreenThumb?
You can adopt our services at any time of the year. There is never a ‘bad time’ to start improving your lawn.
Do I have to be at home when you come and treat my lawn?
The majority of our customers are not at home when we call. Since all our vehicles and Lawn Operatives are self-sufficient, we can carry out your treatments as long as we have access to the lawns.
If you would prefer to be in when we are treating your lawn, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
I have children and /or pets. What should I be aware of?
We recommend that you keep off the lawn until any liquid part of the treatment has dried (approx. 2 hours). This stops it being walked off. And this is especially true of our NutraGreen Autumn Long Treatment, we recommend that you keep off the lawn for more than 2 hours then as it could stain a carpet or wooden floor, if it were walked into the home.
Grazing pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs should be kept off the lawn for a minimum of two weeks or three cuts, whichever occurs latest, to avoid ingestion of Ragwort, in particular, which becomes poisonous to them as it dies back.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No, we want our customers to continue with GreenThumb based on our merits in creating a healthier, greener lawn for them - not because they are stuck in a contract. Of course, with our treatment programmes, you will need to sign a Direct Debit Mandate with the relevant T&C's which relate to this payment option.
