Russ Price is the owner of GreenThumb Lawn Treatment Boston.  With the help of his trusted Operations Manager Wilf, Russ is bringing a whole new look to the lawns in the PE20 to PE25 Postcode sector.

Russ was himself a GreenThumb Customer for 3 years before deciding to go ahead with the purchase of the business in the summer of 2009.  Coming from an ex-military background and having spent 15 years in senior operational management roles  both in the commercial and charity sector, Russ knew that he had the skills for running his own business and with the support of the most successful Franchise in the country behind him he is growing quickly.

Russ goes on to add ‘’In addition to having a product and service that works and is cheaper than the D.I.Y solution, our strength is being local to the customer base.  We are in the area all week - 52 weeks of the year and can react to the needs of the customer as well as the weather!  The flexibility of being able to reschedule treatments quickly if rained off or affected by other aspects of the weather is a key factor to a professional service in lawn treatment and we appreciate the customer service part of this is very important.  The area we cover is large enough to keep us busy but not so big that we are stretching our resources by spending more time driving to the treatments than is realistic’’.

Russ says  ‘’As we grow, the evidence of the success of our products we use is for all to see and we do get a lot of business via referrals from existing customers.  I am keen however to be able to talk to as many people as possible about what we do and how it works and would stress the free Lawn Analysis is absolutely without obligation.

Russ says ‘’The lawn is always a symptom of the soil.  During the Lawn Analysis process we take soil samples from various areas in the lawn and identify any problems that may exist.  We also identify the species of weed in the lawn, both common types and any more difficult weeds - all of which we can treat.  We also allocate a Treatment Value to the lawn which starts from £15 per treatment with the basic schedule covering four treatments a year.  No lawn is too small or too big and if the customer comes on board after the Lawn Analysis they are not bound into any contract – it’s a pay as you go service.  We are that confident what we do works that we have no problems doing this’’.
