A. The GreenThumb franchise package includes all necessary tools and equipment you will need to run and operate the business. We believe very strongly that a new franchisee should be completely equipped from the outset, with no hidden costs around the corner
Q. How much working capital do I need?
A. We recommend a working capital provision of approximately £3,000. Cash flow is important in any business including a GreenThumb franchise. As almost all customers settle their account within three weeks and GreenThumb franchisees have favourable terms with suppliers, we do not find a large working capital provision essential
Q. What assistance do you provide in estimating my projections?
A. We provide very specific information for you to produce your own business plan. This detailed information is provided to you following a successful franchise interview process
Q. What does the training consist of?
A. Our initial training course is a two-week programme conducted at GreenThumb Head Office, followed by on-site training in your territory of up to five days. The training includes:- Turf Botany, Turf Management, Sales and Marketing, Business Software Training, NPTC Certification, Staff Recruitment, Pesticide Law, Machinery Maintenance, Materials Handling

A. Yes, the territory is exclusively designated into postcoded areas
Q. What ongoing support do you provide?
A. We realise that the majority of people who are attracted to franchising are attracted to a business which gives them ongoing support. Our experience tells us that successful franchising is linked to providing advice (technical and business), support, development of the Method, consultation and regular visits to our franchisees. We have a dedicated Franchise Support Team for franchisees’ day to day support
Q. Who are GreenThumb’s target customers?
A. With nearly two decades of dedicated lawn treatment experience behind us, we believe we can safely say that we know who our customers are. We have proven methods of attracting them too, which franchisees exclusively benefit from. Although
our customers come from all walks of life, they do have two things in common:

Q. What are the Management Service/Continuation Fees?
A. The Continuation/Royalty fee paid to the Franchisor is 7% of the gross turnover
Q. Are there any other fees due to the Franchisor?
A. Like other franchise organisations, GreenThumb has a Marketing Fund which is used by the Franchisor to advertise and market the brand. The franchisee contribution is 2% of the gross turnover. Any company owned outlet also pays into the Marketing Fund
Q. What are the renewal terms of the agreement?
A. The initial franchise lasts for five years and can be renewed for a further period of seven years

A. We are more than happy for you to speak to our franchisees. Subject to a successful interview process, we will provide you with this information
